The heat is on and so are the fans! We have the bunnies out of the barn and in the garage now. We are using four giant barn fans that blow from all four corners and keep the buns as comfortable as we can right now. When there is shade and no rain, they get to hang out in the back yard grazing. They seem pretty relaxed so far with their summer clips. We keep them groomed short in the summer so they are nice and cool. Soon we will be doing a review on our new clippers, the Wahl Bravura Lithium cordless clipper. So far, its just "OK".

So we made the very difficult decision to close down our Rabbitry and Caviary a few months ago. We started thinning the herd and sold almost all of our bunnies. We did sell all of our Cavies. We no longer raise any type of guinea pigs. However, when we got down to just six does, we reevaluated our situation. It was a joint decision that we keep the remaining bunnies and a few bucks for a small breeding program. We will be keeping a few bunnies from our litters but not to increase our size. We will be working on a few colors and patterns and need to keep back offspring. We will be selling some of our older does throughout this process. So the breeding stock will be a revolving door for a little while as we work on our chin, magpie and heavy VM programs. Keep watch as we update our pages and post new pics of the pretty new fluffs we have in the nest boxes.
