Last bunnies for a couple of months!

We have several english angora  junior bunnies for sale right now.  Because of busy schedules and two does not taking their breeding AND one single kit breeding, we will not have any new bunnies for sale for a couple of months.  If you are in the market for a bunny from Country Bumpkin Bunnies, please check out the Bunnies For Sale page and see what we have available.  We do have a few familiar faces back up for sale.  There were a few sales that fell through and bunnies reposted for sale.

Another new thing you might notice is our new policy.  If you are looking to purchase from us, please read our new policy.  If you are looking as a first time bunny owner, please also read the link/page called New Bunny Info under the "Rabbit Care" link.  This is a helpful page!

Blessed

So we have named the single bunny out of three does being bred.  It looks like it is a doe and we are calling her "Blessed".  She is a tri colored bunny out of London, a Chestnut Agouti and Oreo, a Broken Black.  This is a first time litter for both mom and dad.
Blessed is now over two weeks old and she is a fat little girl who is hopping all over her moms nesting cage now.  You won't be seeing this bunny on the for sale page as a friend has already reserved her.  We won't be having any more babies until mid October.

A lot of action in the barn this week.

We have started breeding in trios now.  So we were expecting three litters this week.  London x Oreo for their first litter and it was successful on the 7th with a singleton baby.  Next was Snuggle Bunny AGAIN.  She was rebred to boomer in hopes of some gorgeous little Snuggles.  She apparently didn't take because she is not doing anything with her next box other than hanging out in it!  We bred Nadia to Oreo in hopes of some harlis, tris and or brokens.  She built a next and has had fun playing in but no babies.  So we are going to rebreed some bunnies this week in hopes of a better turn out.
We are also decorating!  Check out some pics of the big makeover we started this week.  Just wanted to brighten up the room and making do until we have our new bunny house.

Our first tri!

London and Oreo have their first and only baby and it seems to be a tri colored kit.  We are not sure on anything with this baby. It was the only one in the nest box and London is taking really good care of this kit so far.  We are just calling the little thing "Blessed" for now. He or she is like a piece of popcorn though!  If you pick it up, it hops right out of your hand if you don't hang on to it!  This is a very lively bunny. The pictures don't show coloring very well.  We will take one week old pictures and post updates that I'm sure will show off the colors better then.

Three pregnant does = 1 kit?

So we bred three does and were expecting some exciting colors this time.  After having too many at once, we were careful not to breed too many at one time again!  We have to laugh, we have passed their due dates and ended up with one baby out of all three does!  London had a single kit on September 7, 2018 and here is her baby just hours old.  We weren't sure of its color.  We thought it was a broken because Oreo is the dad.  But now it is a few days old and it looks like it may be a tri!

at country bumpkin bunnies we adore our bunnies

'Rabbits have a subtle repertoire of body language to communicate so they don't draw attention to themselves. They use these signals to bond with their hutch mates, and the humans in their lives to say 'I love you'.
