Meet The Folks

This is Penguin's first litter. She is a magpie harlequin and we bred her to our self chocolate buck Cocoa. We know that Cocoa carries the harlequin gene but now we know that he carries the gene that blocks chin from showing through. This means that he will not allow magpies, but only japanese harlequin genetically. We don't always have japanese harlequin since we concentrated on magpies so much this last year. So this was a nice surprise to have! These babies are super friendly and gorgeous!

Reserve a bunny before they are all spoken for. They will turn 8 weeks on September 29, 2022. We are posting them a little later than normal due to our very busy and hectic schedules but now you can see them a little better with their wool grown out a bit more.

If anyone interested in a bunny but cannot get to Dunlap Illinois to pick it up, please let us know. We have some great transporters that travel the entire US and we can help you set up transport for under $100!

Polly is a japanese harlequin doe

Polly is a japanese harlequin doe. Another beautiful girl and remember, if you are a breeder, she comes out of a magpie so she will likely carry the makings for this genetically. We reserve bunnies under 8 weeks with a deposit. Once they turn 8 weeks, payment in full is due. Please read our Policy page in full to see how to proceed and what to expect. Once you have read this, then you can contact us on availability. We look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you may have. We also have a page with lots of Q & A if that interests you. If you do not or have not owned a bunny in the past, please be sure to read as much as you can on our website. We have lots of educational information that will help you transition your new bunny and teach you on what to expect when you bring your bunny home. For supplies, check out this link on Preparing For Your New Bunny.

Bunny price is $234 and includes a black and white copy of the generic pedigree emailed that is generated through the Global Pedigree system. This will have the name you choose for your bunny. If you want something more fancy and framable, please check out our custom pedigree in full color that we mail a hard copy to you. Also we offer beautiful custom birth certificates with colorful photos of your bunny and his/her family. Please go to the link to view more info on these.

at country bumpkin bunnies we adore our bunnies

'Rabbits have a subtle repertoire of body language to communicate so they don't draw attention to themselves. They use these signals to bond with their hutch mates, and the humans in their lives to say 'I love you'.
