Banana is one of our gorgeous harlequin does who has heavy vienna markings, including gorgeous blue eyes. She is chocolate based. We bred her to Milo for the first time, not knowing what to expect at all! Milo is a black vienna marked buck and everyone loves Milo! He is so pretty. We thought the pair of them would make some gorgeous a babies and we were not wrong at all!

For those who do not know what vienna means, it is the name of the gene that causes blue eyes in bunnies. It can show up in white spots and in heavy or extreme cases, lots of white fur and or blue eyes. There is nothing wrong with blue eyed bunnies, just extreme beauty! VC means it is a carrier of the gene and does not have white spots on fur or blue eyes. VM means vienna marked and this will be outwardly showing by the white spots and or blue eyes. Since we know that both parents carry this gene, it is likely that all bunnies do but because they each only carry one copy of the gene, it is possible that they did not throw that gene. So the pedigrees for these bunnies that are not VM will state "possible VC". This is useful information for breeders.

Henry is a self black buck. He is solid in color and no visible white markings. He will be a possible vienna carrier (blue eye gene) but it is not certain.
